Our web video appointment experience was built at the start of the company and served as the foundation of the platform. Over time, it became outdated in branding and did not fully support vets and pet parents with the information they need during appointments.
Solution
To build the next generation appointment experience, we saw this as an opportunity to significantly elevate our video call experience. The new foundation enables real time transcription and serves as a strategic backbone to accelerate innovation, support enterprise scale, and power AI driven experiences.

The waiting room sets the first impression of the visit. At this stage, we want veterinarians and pet parents to feel calm, supported, and focused. Veterinarians can review appointment details, while pet parents stay informed and relaxed as they prepare for what may be a stressful medical appointment.

The appointment session introduced a modular component system tailored to different user roles. We also upgraded the experience with features such as closed captions, real time transcription, third party joining, and flexible view layouts.

Veterinarians need access to intake information, prescription catalogs, and patient history, while pet parents focus on veterinarian information. Shared tools like text chat support both sides, with modular setups that allow each experience to be tailored accordingly.
